
Solar Association is a registered Non-Profit organization and emanated from a WhatsApp group started 4 years back for knowledge sharing. Subsequent to the Solar Association WhatsApp group many more WhatsApp groups were also formed and the collective strength of the group grew to the level of 3000 and at this juncture, it was decided to form an exclusive NGO Association to serve the solar industry.
Today it has a strength of 3000 members approx. spread across the country and the Association is proud to have eminent personalities from the solar industry and leading players in the trade in its ranks. The National office of the association is situated at Laxmi Nagar Delhi and is in the process of establishing regional offices across the states and prominent cities. Solar association’s Multidisciplinary Executive Body and Advisory team comprises of experts & leaders from the entire Solar Value Chain, ranging from CEO’s of top-notch MNCs, Niche manufacturers & EPC Players, Design experts & Consultants, Policymakers & Influencers, Finance, HR& Legal professionals.
Solar Association is all equipped to act as a single stop platform to offer its premium services for all its stakeholders and on all aspects of Solar Value chain ranging from providing technical support, imparting training & recruitment, dissemination of knowledge thru workshops & training programmes and extending support to aspects related to solar policies & legal clarifications. The multi-flavored association intends to work towards the removal of barriers to Solar Power development & capacity addition in the country and to ensure a conducive policy environment for increased investment in the sector. The association also maintain an excellent rapport with the Central & State nodal agencies such as MNRE, MOP, SECI, IREDA, NIWE, CII, State DISCOMs & Energy Regulatory Commissions etc.
