Pradeep Singh Randhawa (Tony Randhawa )Founder
Pradeep (Tony Randhawa) is the Founder of Solar Association and proudly serves as the organization’s first Executive Director.
It was his passion and strong desire to create an NGO to make solar power a viable and disruptive source of energy. It was also his concern that our current and future generations must be able to use clean and sustainable energy and so Solar Association was born!
He plans to run it efficiently and enhance its influence on outstanding local non-profit organisations. It is also his desire to expand the reach of the solar energy movement and make the Association a non-profit venture. In doing so, the first aim is to carry out research in the sector well enough to understand its current priorities and requirements. From there on, there would be clarity about the adequate skills required and what must be offered.
The Association must also review and evaluate the variety of roles it can play in the international arena. It must thus focus on the areas where it would make the highest impact and make its presence felt.
He strongly believes in the Make in India Programme and seeks to obtain an edge in the Solar sector. Well-developed skills are vital for many entry-level disciplines and there will be a strong focus in this regard. This will be possible once our youth take up industry-relevant skill training programs that will help them in securing a better livelihood. The vision of ‘Skilled India’, the National Skill Development Mission would consolidate and coordinate the efforts to bring out a skilled workforce and expedite the making of a powerful Solar sector!
