The Centre will offer nearly 20 power transmission projects, with an estimated cost of Rs 16,000 crore, for bidding this year. Most of these would provide connection to renewable zones, generating solar and wind energy. The bidding is starting after a hiatus of two years.
These renewable energy projects include those bid for by SECI or NTPC, as well as private developers. They have sought transmission connectivity.
