Cuddalore: NLC India Limited registered a 10.74% increase in total income in the first half of the present fiscal year 2019-20 when compared to the corresponding period in the previous fiscal year. The total income of the company stood at Rs 4,121.88 crore as against Rs 3,722.18 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The company registered a marginal 1.93% increase in profit after tax in the first half when compared to the corresponding period in the previous financial year. The profit-after-tax stood at Rs 659.82 crore as against Rs 647.35 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The company generated 10,332.13 million units of power as against the 9,656.61 million units in the corresponding period of the previous year recording a 7% increase.
The company has increased its solar power generation to 590.3 million units as against 202.52 million units in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The company’s power export also recorded an 8.64% increase when compared to the corresponding period last year. The company’s power export was 8,818.11 million units in the first half as against 8,116.86 million units in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) also registered 14.56% growth in the first half of the present fiscal. The company’s Ebitda, which stood at Rs 1,451.83 crore in the first half of last fiscal, increased to Rs 1,663.21 crore in the corresponding period in this fiscal.
The average plant load factor achieved by the company in the first half of this fiscal (69.41%) was better than that of the corresponding period in the previous fiscal (65.69%).
